Bayartsetseg Altangerel was born and raised in the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, during the downfall of the Soviet Union. As daughter to a university professor and an engineer she enjoyed a meticulous upbringing - destined for a successful career in the young country. Yet with 24, she left behind a double bachelor degree and a promising position in marketing to pursue her dream as an actress in the US. Now known as Bayra Bela, the aspiring actress put her experiences to the test when being casted for a supporting role in the Netflix series 'Marco Polo' in 2016. She has since starred in several lead roles in her home country Mongolia and will return to international screens in early 2018, co-starring in Steven Seagal's latest action blockbuster 'Attrition'. Bela's other great passion is Latin dance. She has modeling experience of more than 10 years and is well-known for her social and ecological engagement in her home country. Bela thrives to promote Mongolian culture as an actress and has represented her country in beauty pageants all over the world, such as in Miss International, Miss Earth - and her historic success as finalist in Miss World in 2016.
