Marianne Ferrari is a Bronx-born, proud native New Yorker. As a little girl, Marianne heard the tale (over and over and over again) of her immigrant Italian parents meeting, dancing and falling in love on the cruise liner that traversed them to their impossible dream - a new life in America, a year to the day before it sank! The destiny of their journey and all that came with it shaped Marianne as an artist in every way. She dreamed her own impossible dream up on Tar Beach, her Bronx rooftop. The sights, sounds, smells - the entire colorful cast of characters from her Morris Park neighborhood: everyone helping each other, yelling at each other, laughing with each other, playing stoopball, stickball, handball (many balls! ), "curb fishing," the amazing Italian gardens shaded by grapevines - life so vibrant, so rich...in technicolor! It set the stage for Marianne's passion for storytelling in her highest Vision - a life in Theatre, Film and TV. Marianne has appeared in over 60 theatrical productions in her 36 year acting career including 3 seasons at the Williamstown Theatre Festival as well as the Edinburgh Festival. She has appeared on stage in New York, Los Angeles and regionally. Some highlights are: Angie in Breaking Legs (Pasadena Playhouse), Annette in God of Carnage (Theatre By The Sea), Lucille in The American Clock (with Arthur Miller in residence, Williamstown Theatre Festival), Dockdaisy in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui (Williamstown Theatre Festival), Janet in Italian-American Reconciliation (Zephyr Theatre), Mrs. Cheveley in An Ideal Husband (Met Theater), Marta in Company (Little Theatre) to name a few. She tells the story of her Bronx coming of age in her solo play, Guido Girl Ascending workshopped in New York and Los Angeles and its newest iteration on the boards Off Broadway in late 2021. She is adapting Guido Girl Ascending for the big and small screen. On TV, she guest starred on Elementary, Younger, Without A Trace, Brooklyn South, Public Morals and Cybill. She has appeared in a number of indie films and will be making her principal debut in a major feature in Warner Bros.' prequel to the Sopranos, The Many Saints of Newark directed by Alan Taylor and written by David Chase premiering October 2021. There is nothing like the exploration of the human condition. It is her honor to be of service as a storyteller. Fun Fact: Marianne has blood relatives on 4 of the 7 continents - North America, South America, Europe and Australia. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Marianne Ferrari, June 28, 2021
