Cheyenne Mae Puga was born and raised in Westminster, Maryland. After high school graduation, Cheyenne moved south to attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She graduated from the school cum laude with a B.A. in film studies. Cheyenne produced the senior thesis film, Fragment, her last semester of college, directed by award winning filmmaker, Joe Day. The film had a successful festival run 2018 to 2019. Although her resume speaks for itself, Cheyenne's most notable project is Heroin Still Kills. She played the lead, a ballerina turned drug addict, named Heather. It is a remake of the groundbreaking educational film from 1998. It premiered January 22, 2019 with much success. The film continues to be shown around the United States. With extensive training, including Meisner technique, improvisation, and scene study, Cheyenne is capable of portraying various character types and has excellent emotional range. Notable instructors include Dennis LaValle, Ron Fallica, and Allie McCulloch. Due to her unique appearance, Cheyenne is often seen as the rising underdog, a rebel, or new girl.
