Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, with a southern roots upbringing, Cookie began singing and performing at the age of seven. She has sung with, recorded, and done background for many gospel artists including Edwin Hawkins and the Hawkins Family, Richard Smallwood, Daryl Coley, Bishop Norman Hutchins, Kirk Franklin, and Brent Jones. She was a member of CME Community Choir, under the direction of Minister Michael Pyles, for over 15 years. Cookie was also the featured soloist on the title song for the RET & Praise Ensemble album "Praise Him" Until 2014, she was an original cast member of the Gospel Cantata, "His Only Begotten Son", directed and written by Ministers Harold and Diane Johnson. Cookie remains active in the Film and Music industry, including participation in several Brent Jones and OCGC videos, and several movies, including Girls in White Dresses, Finding God in the City of Angels (in which she also does vocals), Fanny Pack, and Take Me. She is currently working on a recording that will be produced by Brent Jones. Cookie is married to Pastor Michael Clayton, Sr, Sr. Pastor of Church of Divine Guidance Christian, where she serves as Worship Leader/Choir Director, and she is the mother to 3 children and has 7 grandchildren, whom she adores. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Ryan Gilmour
